Results of Public Comment Procedure on Draft MIC Instruction to
Amend Part of the Examination Standards Relating to the Radio Law

Development of provisions in conjunction with the addition of exceptions to
radio station operations and the introduction of femtocell base stations
From Friday, August 22 until Monday, September 22, 2008, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) invited public comment on a draft MIC instruction to amend part of the Examination Standards Relating to the Radio Law. As a result, it received five comments.

MIC will promptly amend the Examination Standards Relating to the Radio Law by considering the results of the public comment procedure.

1. Background
In order to develop provisions in conjunction with the addition of exceptions to radio station operations and the introduction of femtocell base stations, MIC developed a draft MIC instruction to amend part of the Examination Standards Relating to the Radio Law (MIC Instruction No. 67 of January 6, 2001), and invited public comment thereon from August 22 until September 22, 2008.
