Results of Public Comment Procedure on Draft MIC Ordinance
to Partially Amend the Regulations for Enforcement of the
Broadcast Law in Line with the Enforcement of the Law for
Partial Amendments to the Law Concerning Book-Entry Transfer
of Corporate Bonds and Other Securities for the Purpose of
Streamlining the Settlement of Trades of Stocks and Other
Securities (Law No. 88 of 2004)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has created a draft MIC ordinance to partially amend the Regulations for Enforcement of the Broadcast Law. The ordinance was drafted in order to develop regulations and the like required by the enforcement of the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law Concerning Book-Entry Transfer of Corporate Bonds and Other Securities for the Purpose of Streamlining the Settlement of Trades of Stocks and Other Securities (Law No. 88 of 2004). From Thursday, August 21 until Friday, September 19, 2008, MIC invited public comment on the draft MIC ordinance, and received a total of five comments.

MIC hereby discloses MIC's opinion on the contributed comments. By considering the comments, MIC will amend the draft.

1. Results of the public comment procedure
From August 21 until September 19, 2008, MIC invited public comment on the draft MIC ordinance ,and received five comments.

2. Modification of the draft MIC ordinance
By considering the comments received, MIC will modify the draft MIC ordinance, as follows, to clarify the provision:
Supplementary Provisions Article 2 Item (ii2) and Article 3 Item (ii2)
Before change: the number of shares pertaining to the notification
After change: the number of shares pertaining to the notification (limited to stocks that are entered, or have been recorded, in the shareholder registry at the time of the most recent receipt of the notification)

3. Future schedule
By considering the contributed comments, MIC will promulgate the MIC ordinance to partially amend the Regulations for Enforcement of the Broadcast Law, so that it will be placed into force on the same date when the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law Concerning Book-Entry Transfer of Corporate Bonds and Other Securities for the Purpose of Streamlining the Settlement of Trades of Stocks and Other Securities (Law No. 88 of 2004) comes into force.
