Proposals Invited Concerning Technical Issues Relating to the ICT Standard Development Project

The Ministry of Affairs and Communications (MIC) plans to initiate the ICT Standard Development Project from 2009 to help strengthen ICT industries international competitiveness in Japan. This will be accomplished by strongly promoting the ICT fields where international standardization is required of technical issues using technical trials and interconnection verification and other methods.

The MIC is now accepting proposals from today until May 22nd, 2009 concerning efforts to strengthen international competitiveness in Japan and speed up the standardization of important technical issues among other issues in accordance with the implementation of the ICT Standard Development Project.

1 Purpose
The MIC will implement the ICT Standard Development Project starting in 2009. The acceptance of proposals concerns efforts to strengthen international competitiveness in Japan and to speed up the standardization of important technical issues among other issues in accordance with the implementation of the ICT Standard Development Project.

The important themes that are received in the proposals will be treated as reference information for the project.
