Results of the Survey Concerning the Level of Penetration of Terrestrial Digital Broadcasting

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has conducted a survey concerning the level of penetration of terrestrial digital broadcasting. This survey was conducted regarding the digitalization of television broadcasting to understand how well it is recognized and how wide spread terrestrial digital broadcasting receivers are quantitatively so the information can be used towards publications among other activities, and for the purpose of helping the spread of the service in the future

The results of this survey show that 89.6% of those surveyed acknowledge that terrestrial analog broadcasting is ending, and 60.7% of households have a terrestrial digital broadcasting receiver. The MIC will continue to cooperate with those involved to promote the increase in recognition of digital broadcasting and spread of receivers concerning the transition with plans to move ahead actively with promotion publications among other activities.
