The Strategic Dialog Concerning the Development of a Safe and Secure Internet Environment was held in Tokyo on June 2nd and 3rd, 2009 to promote international cooperation and the development of a safe and secure internet environment in the world to appropriately deal with illegal and harmful information on the internet.

The discussions at the strategic dialog concerned the development of a basic framework to realize security, and the chairman’s report and Tokyo Statement were put together from the efforts.

It is expected that world activities will promote the creation of international rules even more in the future thanks to these efforts.
