The Aviation Radio Communications Council of the Information and Communications Council, Technology Sub-Council (Chairman: Hiroyuki MORIKAWA, Professor of the University of Tokyo) has deliberated about the revisions to the technical conditions concerning radio equipment for SSR mode S (partial response from the telecommunications technology council, July 1988) from April 2007. The committee report proposal has been put together, and public comments will be accepted until July 13, 2009, concerning the proposal.
