Result of Proposals Invited Concerning Technical Issues Relating
to the ICT Standard Development Project

The MIC accepted proposals from April 22 to May 22, 2009 concerning efforts regarding technical issues relating to the ICT Standard Development Project, and the theme for the ICT Standard Development Project has been decided based on an outside evaluation of these results.

Outline of the project

The ICT Standard Development Project is an effort to strengthen international competitiveness of the ICT industry in Japan by implementing technical examinations and interconnection verification of technical issues within the ICT field where international standardization must be intensely pursued.

Confirmed details

During the application period, 32 proposals were accepted. A total of 12 proposals were accepted as themes for the ICT Standard Development Project based on the evaluation results of the evaluation committee made up of experts and key figures in the ICT field.
