The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold the Smart Cloud Study Group to make clear the direction of next-generation cloud technology, while comprehensively investigating the various issues concerning the development of cloud network technology.

Background and purpose

Due to the advances in cloud network technology, there is the possibility that a paradigm shift will occur in the information and communications field because of the potential of completely different ways of using information and communications systems compared to conventional use. However, various issues have been brought up including the acquirement of interoperable cloud technology, appropriate information distribution and international rules.
Therefore this study group will be held based on the ICT Vision Conference Report to make clear the direction of next-generation cloud technology, while comprehensively investigating the various issues with the development of cloud network technology.
