The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has revised the Guidelines Telecommunications Business Act Consumer Protection Rules with the goal of making consumers secure when using telecommunication services. Therefore the results of the public comments will also be published regarding the guideline revision proposal.

Background

The MIC formulated and put into effect the Guidelines Telecommunications Business Act Consumer Protection Rules in March 2004.
It was recommended as further explanation at the end of contract for telecommunication services that contact information and the method when changing or canceling a contract and recommended relevant rules be incorporated into the Telecommunications User Service Meeting Report published on February 10, 2009.
