Policy to Strengthen Cooperation of Industry,
Academia and Government to Accelerate R&D for the

Information and Communications Council Consultation

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today consulted the Information and Communications Council (Chairman: Takuma OTOSHI, President of IBM Japan), regarding the Policy to Strengthen Cooperation of Industry, Academia and Government to Accelerate R&D for the Creation of the New Digital Industry

Reason for the consultation

The comprehensive ICT strategy which was presented in the ICT Vision Conference Final Report in June of this year was created to realize the ICT Social Vision around 2015 (smart ubiquitous society), along with other similar visions.
It will be necessary to undertake the ICT technical strategy and important technical issues expressed in the ICT Vision Conference Final Report in order to realize a smart ubiquitous society by accelerating vital R&D to create new digital industries.
