Public Comment Sought for Draft Ministerial Ordinance to
Determine the Transmission Method in Article 2, Item 1 of the
Proper Transmission of Specific Electronic Mail Act

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has written a draft ministerial ordinance to determine the transmission method in Article 2, Item 1 of the Proper Transmission of Specific Electronic Mail Act. This comes from the implementation of the Law Concerning Updates to Related Laws in Accordance with the Act Establishing the Consumer Affairs Agency and the Consumer Affairs Committee (Act 49 of 2009, referred to below as the "Update Law").
With regards to this, public opinion will be taken on this ordinance until Saturday, August 8, 2009.

Background behind the Writing of the Draft Ministerial Ordinance

When the Consumer Affairs Agency and the Consumer Affairs Committee are established, the Update Law will make necessary revisions to the Proper Transmission of Specific Electronic Mail Act (Act 26 of 2002, referred to below as the Specific Electronic Mail Act).
Through the Update Law, delegation of ministerial ordinances by the Specific Electronic Mail Act will be carried out as "MIC & Cabinet Office ordinances" and "MIC ordinances." Therefore, a new ministerial ordinance will be formulated to determine the delegation of matters through MIC ordinances.
