- Expansion of Special Radio Equipment Types which can Commit to the Same Characters -

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has created the notification proposal to partially revise the 2004 MIC Notification No. 460 (Case which stipulates the characters committed to special radio equipment) and 2007 MIC Notification No. 638. The MIC will be accepting public comments starting today until August 21, 2009 regarding this notification proposal.

Background and outline of the revision

Within the approved construction designs, the characters will be expanded taking into account the state of use of special radio equipment in recent years. This is a result of investigating the system and technical aspects of characters which can be committed to the first approved construction designs of the registered certified organization when the construction design is newly approved for antenna forms or when only changing the benefits of construction.
