The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the Digital Tuner Support Center accepted applications for the 2009 support to purchase digital tuners from October 1 to December 28, 2009.

As of December 31, 2009, approximately 500,000 applications have been received for support and a total of 600,000 applications are projected to be received this year.

Therefore, the 2009 application period for support will be extended until February 26, 2010.
