The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) accepted proposals from candidates from November 6 to November 20, 2009 regarding the 2009 Ubiquitous Zone Project.

The candidates to entrust the project were evaluated by outside experts and the candidate to entrust the project was chosen in reference to this evaluation.

Outline of the Project

Built on the efforts of the Ubiquitous Zone Project, this is to further promote the efforts until now and realize the potential which ICT possesses through the development and verification of new ICT services.

During the application period, 30 applications were received and after evaluation conducted by an outside panel, five candidates were chosen.
