The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has formulated the Tentative Viewpoint of Japan in Preparation for the 2012 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-12) regarding the agendas that will be discussed at the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRD-12) scheduled to be held from Monday, January 23 to Friday, February 17, 2012.

Therefore, public comments will be accepted from Wednesday, January 13 to Friday, February 12, 2010 regarding the tentative viewpoint.

Background

The WRC-12 is one of the conferences included in the radio communication sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the conference is scheduled to be held in Geneva Switzerland from January 23 to February 17, 2012 with the purpose of revising radio communication regulations for international frequency band usage methods, various provisions regarding the operation of radio stations and other technical standards.
The MIC is accepting public comments ahead of the APT-WRC preparatory meeting scheduled to be held in Bangkok Thailand from March 8 to March 12, 2010 which the MIC is also scheduled to attend.
