Response from the Radio Regulatory Council Regarding the Comprehensive License for Special Radio Stations Affiliated with UQ Communications Inc.


The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today received a response from the Radio Regulatory Council (Chairman: Hiroshi HARASHIMA, Professor of Tokyo University) regarding the application from UQ Communications Inc. (Representative Director, Takashi TANAKA) concerning a comprehensive license for special radio stations. The response stated that it was appropriate to issue a comprehensive license.

Application and Outline of the Screening

The MIC received an application for a comprehensive license for a low power repeater using the 2.5GHz band frequency from UQ Communications Inc. It was found that the application conformed to the Radio Act (Law of 1950 No. 131) Article 27 Section 4 provisions, and based on this the application was approved.
