The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has created a revision proposal to partial revise the Radio Act related screening standards for obstruction criteria of high-rise buildings for the prevention of radio wave interference.
The MIC accepted public comments from December 2, 2009 to January 4, 2010 regarding this revision proposal and no comments were received. The MIC plans to move ahead quickly with the revisions.
Summary
This revision will maximize the use of both high-rise buildings and radio propagation channels in a limited amount of space by increasing the precision and efficiency of propagation disturbance judgments in early stages and by making the standards at the time of detailed judgments more clear based on the technically verified results of the influence of high-rise buildings on propagation channels.
