As a result of deliberations, it was decided that the details of the inquiry would be announced publicly, through press releases and such means as posting on the web, to invite public opinion.

Concerns the addition of a new menu for all days/daytime to the maintenance menu for leased lines, which currently offers two menus of weekday/daytime and all days/24 hours. |

Revenue improvement plan for NTT East and NTT West type 1 payphones
|
MIC outlined the type 1 payphone revenue improvement plans that were reported to the MIC by NTT East and NTT West.
[Summary]
In the Telecommunications Business Division report dated March 31, 2006 ("Designation of Eligible Telecommunications Carriers"), NTT East and NTT West both requested formulation of a type 1 payphone revenue improvement plan, including review of the adequate number of type 1 payphones installations. In response, MIC made a report that included the outline of the plan. |
