BRIEF OVERALL PROJECT SUMMARY:

Exchange of ionospheric and atmospheric data

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

Ionospheric sounding data network aims at creating a real-time based data service of ionospheric condition and its daily variations as basic data for radio propagation and as a part of the near earth environment. As a new data source the winds in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere observed by Yamagawa MF radar will be added in the near future.

EXPECTED/ACTUAL RESULTS:

Observation data exchange will become very easier and speedier. By using this kind of data network the interactive data analysis of global environmental issues will become possible and provide further opportunities for international cooperation.

TARGET GROUPS: -

PARTNERS/ACTORS IN THE PROJECT:

CRL(MPT)

BENEFITS TO THE INFORMATION SOCIETY:

This project is a good example of a real-time based data exchange network. The activity of World Data Center System will be favorably influenced by this kind of data exchange network.

EXPECTED COST:

The cost will amount to about 5000 Million Yen.
