With respect to such various issues as invigoration of local economies, the declini9ng birthrate and the aging of society, local communities are facing, MIC will promote solutions thereof by implementing entrustment projects for construction of local community models through ICT utilization. In FY2007, MIC will implement the "Projects for Construction of Local Community Models through ICT Utilization" to promote introduction of ubiquitous network society into local communities. Thus, MIC invites public proposals thereon during the period from February 27 through March 26, 2007.
Since these projects will be earmarked by the FY2007 budget currently being deliberated upon in the Diet, details of the public proposal invitation are subject to be changed.
