BRIEF OVERALL PROJECT SUMMARY:
This project conducts R&D on parallel processing technology and directory
technology for the development of applications which, on Broadband ISDN, utilize effectively image databases set-up in dispersed multi- sites.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
This project contributes to the establishment of an electronic museum/art museum system by conducting R&D on parallel processing technology and directory technology.
EXPECTED/ACTUAL RESULTS:
To realize advanced visual telecommunications among multi-sites where image databases are placed and to develop an electronic museum/art museum system, by conducting R&D on the parallel processing technology which searches image data in parallel from image databases dispersed in multi-sites through broadband network and the directory technology which manages each database.
