Vision Statement

Since being appointed Director of TSB in January 2023, I have leveraged my 40 years of industry experience to promote the global outreach of standards, increase industry engagement, bridge the standard-ization gap, and strengthen collaboration within and outside the Union.
As I run for a second term, I pledge to further enhance cooperation with Members and stakeholders, striving to bring the benefits of technology to every corner of the world.

Success of WTSA-24 and Promotion of AI for Good Initiative

  • Success of WTSA-24: Record participation, high-level public-private GSS, 20+ value­enhancing side events, numerous outputs (Study Group consolidation, new Resolutions), and efficient management.
  • Al for Good Initiative: 5000+ multi-stakeholder participants, Al Governance Day, launch of International Al Standards Summit, and launch of Al Skills Coalition

Strengthening Cooperation with External Organizations and Enhancing Industry Engagement

  • Cooperation with External Organization: Tri-party (ITU/150/IEC) collaboration at World Standards Cooperation, outputs at G20/COP, and launch of Open Wallet Forum
  • Enhancing Industry Engagement: 30+ C-level participants in CxO meetings, launch of Industry Engagement Workshop, and CTO webinar series

Bridging the Standardization Gap and Standardizing Innovative Technologies
