October 14, 2015 Report from the Radio Regulatory Council and Results of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinance for Partial Revision of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act

Institutional improvements in the measurement methods for the specific absorption rates of mobile phones and other communications terminals and similar radio devices used in close proximity to the temporal part

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted today an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council on a draft Ministerial Ordinance and pertinent conditions for the partial revision of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act. This revision is associated with institutional improvements in the measurement methods for the specific absorption rates of mobile phones and other communications terminals used in close proximity to the temporal part. MIC received by return a report from the Radio Regulatory Council stating its approval as inquired. Prior to the above inquiry, MIC made an appeal for opinions from August 26 through September 30, 2015, on the draft ministerial ordinance and a relevant draft notice, and received five opinions in response to the appeal, and MIC has decided to announce the opinions along with MIC’s comments to the opinions.
