November 10, 2015 Results of Third India-Japan Joint Working Group

On November 11, 2015, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held the third Japan-India Joint Working Group jointly with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of India based on the India-Japan ICT Comprehensive Cooperation Framework. Mr. Yasuo Sakamoto, Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination (International Affairs) of MIC and representatives of Japanese ICT-related enterprises as well as representatives headed by H.E. Mr. Shri R. M. Agarwal, Deputy Director General (Networks and Technologies), Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India Minister attended the Joint Working Group. In the Joint Working Group, the ICT policies of both countries were introduced, the progress of Japan-India joint projects was confirmed, and the implementation of new initiatives for the future was discussed. Both Japan and India agreed to continue discussions over the implementation of Japan-India joint projects in the future.
