November 25, 2015 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinance for Partial Revision of Ministerial Ordinance Establishing Sender Information in Paragraph 1, Article 4 of the Act on the Limitation of Liability for Damages of Specified Telecommunications Service Providers and the Right to Demand Disclosure of Identification Information of the Senders

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) drafted a revision of the Ministerial Ordinance Establishing Sender Information in Paragraph 1, Article 4 of the Act on the Limitation of Liability for Damages of Specified Telecommunications Service Providers and the Right to Demand Disclosure of Identification Information of the Senders. This draft was based on the recommendations of the ICT Service Safety and Security Study Group. In this connection, MIC made an appeal for opinions on the draft from October 17 through November 16, 2015. MIC received four opinions in response to the appeal, and the MIC has decided to announce the opinions and MIC’s comments on the opinions. Accordingly, MIC will revise the Ministerial Ordinance promptly with consideration of the result of the opinions.
