December 28, 2015 Decision on Venue of APECTEL54 (54th Telecommunications and Information Working Group) in Japan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal in September 2015 for candidate venues of APECTEL54 (54th Telecommunications and Information Working Group), which is expected to be held in Japan in or around the autumn of 2016. As a result, nine local governments across Japan responded to the appeal finally. In this connection, MIC carefully screened each proposal documents from the local governments, and has selected Kansai Science City (also called Keihanna) as proposed by Kyoto Prefecture for the venue of APECTEL54.
