July 14, 2015 Appeal for Opinions and Report from Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council on Designation of Telecommunications Carriers Providing Telecommunications Services Significantly Affecting Users’ Interests Judging from Content and Range of Users

The Ministry for Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has received a report from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council in response to a recent inquiry (Inquiry number 3074 of May 19, 2015) made by MIC about the designation of telecommunications carriers, etc. in accordance with paragraph 3, Article 41 of the Telecommunications Business Act. The report states the appropriateness of the contents of the inquiry. MIC made an appeal for opinions on drafts of a Ministerial Ordinance and Notice related to the designation prior to the inquiry, to which, however, no opinions were received.
