January 26, 2016 Results of Appeal for Opinions on Institutional Improvement Plan on Ministerial Ordinances, etc. for Protection of Telecommunications Users in Response to Partial Revision of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act, etc. and Response from Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal for opinions from Wednesday, November 25 through Thursday, December 24, 2015, on an institutional improvement plan on Ministerial Ordinances and relevant regulations for the protection of telecommunications users, and received 70 opinions. This plan responds to the Act on Partial Amendments to the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 26 of 2015), which was promulgated on May 22 last year. In this connection, MIC received a report today from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council (Telecommunications Business Committee) in response to MIC’s inquiries. MIC decided to announce the opinions, MIC’s comments to the opinions, a report from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council. With consideration of the results of the appeal for opinions and the report, MIC will enact the Ministerial Ordinances, etc.
