October 26, 2016 Results of Talks between Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Sanae Takaichi and Minister for Public Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines

Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Sanae Takaichi held talks today with Secretary of Presidential Communications Operations Martin Andanar of the Republic of the Philippines, who is visiting Japan with H.E. President Rodrigo Duterte of the Republic of the Philippines. Minister Takaichi and Secretary Andanar confirmed that they would further promote the cooperation between both countries in the ICT field, including the promotion of the digitalization of the Philippines’ national broadcasting.
Furthermore, the Minister and the Secretary signed a memorandum of understanding concerning the cooperation in the ICT field between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Presidential Communications Group of the Republic of the Philippines under the presence of the Prime Minister of Japan and the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
