November 29, 2016 Implementing MIC Officials’ Trial-based Telework of Satellite Office Type Utilizing Share Office Network provided by Tokyu Corporation

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) as the comprehensive administrative agency for telework-related ministerial liaison meetings is strengthening the collaboration between ministries for the promotion of telework while proactively advancing an initiative of implementing MIC officials’ telework. As a part of the reinforcement of this initiative in line with this year’s Telework Month (i.e., November an intensive promotion period of spreading telework under industry, government, and academia collaboration), MIC will start its officials’ telework of satellite office type on a trial basis in the metropolitan area (from November 29, 2016, through the end of March 2017).
This will be the first trial of telework among all the central government agencies of Japan.
