March 22, 2016 Technical Requirements for Upgrading of Use of Radio Waves for Robots, etc.
Reports from the Information and Communications Council-
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today received reports from the Information and Communications Council (Chaired by Takeshi Uchiyamada, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Toyota Motor Corporation). These reports were made in response to MIC’s Inquiry No. 2036 of March 12, 2015 about technical requirements for the upgrading of the use of radio waves for robots and Inquiry No. 2034 of June 21, 2013 about technical requirements for communications systems for disaster response robots and equipment (Inquiry No. 2034).
In the meantime, the Information and Communications Council made an appeal for opinions from Wednesday, February 3, through Friday, March 4, 2016, on the draft of the reports, and received 18 opinions, and MIC decided to announce the opinions and the comments of the Information and Communications Council to the opinions.
