April 7, 2016 Holding Briefing Session of Project to Support Overseas Expansion of Broadcast Contents

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a briefing session with the aim of presenting the results of a project to support overseas expansion of broadcast contents in fiscal 2015 and spreading and deploying the results of the project.

Background
MIC has been implementing the project to support overseas expansion of broadcast contents for the purpose of regional revitalization throughout Japan, the transmission of the charm of Japanese food and food culture, and the promotion of Japan’s national strategies, including the Visit Japan Strategy and Cool Japan Strategy.
Recently, MIC has decided to hold a briefing session with the aim of presenting the results of a project in fiscal 2015 and spreading and deploying the results of the project. Project implementation entities will give presentations of all 33 programs* implemented in fiscal 2015.

* The project has been implemented in two types of programs, i.e., 13 programs of consortium type and 20 programs of regional type.
