Technical Requirements for Ultra-high-definition Television Broadcasting System
The Broadcasting System Subcommittee (Chief investigator: Makoto Itami, Professor at Department of Applied Electronics, Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science) under the Department on Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council has been studying technical requirements for an ultra-high-definition television broadcasting system since November 2015.
Recently, the Subcommittee drafted a report, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal for opinions for the draft from Saturday, April 9, through Friday, May 13, 2016.
