May 12, 2016 Implementation of FY2016 Info-Communications Promotion Month

With the aim of spreading and promoting information communications, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the Council for Info-Communications Promotion Month (^*) have designated a period from May 15 through June 15, 2016 as Info-Communications Promotion Month to implement ICT-related events in each region of Japan. 　MIC and the Council hope that these events will be a good opportunity to deepen people’s understanding to information and communications that play a major role in building a prosperous society in which people can live in peace. (^*)The Council for Info-Communications Promotion Month: An organization established to promote and spread telecommunications with the telecommunications system reforms in April 1985, and consisting of various info-communications organizations in the private sector.
