July 15, 2016 Orchestration of Japanese Buddhist Sculpture Exhibition with 8K Technology at Scuderie del Quirinale in Italy

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) in cooperation with the Agency for Cultural Affairs will utilize ultra-high-definition video technology (8K(*1)) to orchestrate an art exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Italy, a museum fashioned from the stables of Rome's Quirinal Palace. The museum will host the extraordinary masterpieces of the Japanese Buddhist Sculpture from July 28, 2016.

*1: A technology to realize ultra-high-definition, three-dimensional, and realistic video images with pixels 16 times the number of pixels of current digital terrestrial television broadcasting.
