September 14, 2016 Status of Revenues and Expenses of Private Broadcasters in FY2015

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications hereby announces that it has recently summarized the state of the FY2015 revenues and expenses of private broadcasters.
The FY2015 state of the revenues and expenses is outlined as follows:

Terrestrial core broadcasters

In comparison with the preceding fiscal year, the sales, cost of sales, selling and general administrative costs, operating profit or loss, ordinary profit or loss, and profit or loss for this term of the entire terrestrial core broadcast industry increased.

Satellite broadcasters

In comparison with the preceding fiscal year, the operating revenues, operating expenses, and operating profit or loss of the entire satellite broadcasting industry increased.

Cable television broadcasters

In comparison with the preceding fiscal year, the operating revenues and operating profit or loss of the entire cable television industry increased while the operating expenses decreased.
