November 10, 2017 Holding Subcommittee for Making the Future of the IoT New Era

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) established the Subcommittee for Making the Future of the IoT New Era (Chief investigator: Jun Murai, Dean of the Graduate School of Media and Governance and Professor at Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University) at the Information and Communications Policy Committee. The Information and Communications Policy Committee is studying the ideal state of new information and communications policies for the Internet of things (IoT) and big data era (MIC’s inquiry No. 23 of September 25, 2015), under the Information and Communications Council. The Subcommittee will study the ideal state of new information and communications policies to support the way Japan should follow in the future society of Japan, in which Japan’s population will further decline, while looking at the future of the IoT, AI, and robots in the new era.
