November 16, 2017 Holding Public Wireless LAN Security Subcommittee

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to establish the Public Wireless LAN Security Subcommittee (Chief investigator: Atsuhiro Goto, President of Institute of Information Security) under the Cyber Security Task Force, with consideration of the IoT Security Comprehensive Measures, which MIC released in October this year. The Subcommittee will summarize security issues of public wireless LANs and study necessary measures.
