March 8, 2017 FY2017 Request for Implementation of International Broadcasting Addressed to Japan Broadcasting Corporation

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted today an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chaired by Susumu Yoshida, Specially Appointed Professor, Kyoto University) on a fiscal 2017 request for international broadcasting to be provided by Japan Broadcasting Corporation (also called NHK, headed by Ryoichi Ueda, President). MIC received by return a report from the Radio Regulatory Council stating its approval as inquired.
If the necessary budget has received the approval from the Diet up to April 1, 2017, MIC will send the request to NHK on same day.
