August 8, 2017 A Collection of Introduction Case Examples of Community Broadcasting-based Auto-start Radio Coverage Areas
On the basis of a report on the Information Refugee Zero Project released last December, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) collected the introduction cases of community broadcasting-based auto-start radio coverage areas throughout Japan, analyzed the introduction backgrounds, and summarized the results into a collection of introduction case examples. MIC has now decided to release this collection to the public, to encourage the use of community broadcasting-based auto-start radio systems as a means of transmitting emergency disaster information to people with limited communication options, such as elderly people living alone.
