September 8, 2017 Translation Bank Came into Operation
Integrating translation data in various fields for further improvements in automatic translation systems
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT, President: Hideyuki Tokuda) have started operating the Translation Bank, which collects translation data throughout Japan in order to enable automatic translation systems to respond to various fields and improve the accuracy of automatic translation.
This will contribute to strengthening the international competitiveness of Japan in the globalization of social and economic activities.
