January 26, 2018 Results of First Meeting of Japan-Viet Nam Joint Working Group

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Ministry of Information and Communications of Viet Nam held the first meeting of the Japan-Viet Nam Joint Working Group in Hanoi on January 25, 2018. The participants of the meeting from the Japanese side included Seiji Takagi, Director-General for International Affairs, Global Strategy Bureau, MIC, and representatives of IC-related enterprises, and those from Viet Nam were headed by Mr. Hoang Anh Tu, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation.

The Working Group discussed the further cooperation of Japan and Viet Nam in the fields of cybersecurity, radio wave surveillance, and smart cities in the future.
