The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today received a partial report from the Information and Communications Council (Chaired by Takeshi Uchiyamada, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Toyota Motor Corporation) concerning technical requirements for the outdoor use of ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless systems for communications in the SHF band. This partial report has been made in response to the Inquiry No. 2008 of September 30, 2002, about technical requirements for UWB wireless systems addressed to the Information and Communications Council.
