March 23, 2018 Request to KDDI Corporation and SoftBank Corp. for Handling the BWA Cost and Demand in Interconnection Charges related to Category II Designated Telecommunications Facilities

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications made a request to KDDI Corporation and SoftBank Corp. on March 22 for the proper calculation of interconnection charges related to category II designated telecommunications facilities. This request will enable KDDI and SoftBank to take a method to properly reflect the cost and demand for advanced broadband wireless access (BWA) systems in the calculation of interconnection charges of data transmission exchange functions related to category II designated telecommunications facilities to be installed on and after April 1, 2018.
