March 30, 2018 Announcement about Final Progress Report from Study Group on Advanced Use of Internet with IPv6

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has been holding the Study Group on Advanced Use of Internet with IPv6 (chaired by Tadao Saito, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo) since February 27, 2009, to consider promotional measures for the smooth introduction of IPv6.

Recently the Study Group finished the final report “From IPv6 Deployment to IPv6 Migration” with consideration of the fact that the IPv6 conversion of communications equipment and communication infrastructure in Japan is almost completed.
