June 15, 2018 Release of Data Utilization Guidebook for Local Public Entities Ver. 1.0

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted a demonstration of the promotion of regional big data utilization in multiple regions in order to verify the method of utilizing data possessed by local public entities.

On the basis of the results of the above demonstration, MIC compiled Data Utilization Guidebook for Local Public Entities Ver. 1.0 as guidelines for local public entities to take effective measures, such as policy planning and improvements in resident services by utilizing data held by local public entities in a cross-divisional and cross-sectoral manner, while considering the protection of personal information.
