December 6, 2019 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report of Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: Makoto Ando, Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Science and Engineering), Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council, has been studying technical requirements for upgrading low-power radio stations in 920 MHz band as part of technical requirements for upgrading low-power wireless Communications Systems.
Recently, the Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee drafted a report on the technical requirements, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft report from Saturday, December 7, 2019, through Monday, January 6, 2020, as specified below.

2. Overview

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee under the Department on Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council has been studying technical requirements for upgrading low-power radio stations in the 920 MHz band as part of technical requirements for upgrading low-power wireless Communications Systems. Recently, the Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee drafted a report on the technical requirements, and MIC has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft report from Saturday, December 7, 2019, through Monday, January 6, 2020, as specified below.

3. Submission deadline

No later than 5 PM on Monday, January 6, 2020 (Opinions, if submitted by mail, must arrive no later than the same day.)

4. Future plans

A final report will be compiled based on the results of the appeal for opinions.
