December 13, 2019 Announcement of Notification Content concerning Utilization Business of NTT West

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (NTT West, headed by President Mutsuyoshi Kobayashi) recently made notification concerning business pursuant to Article 2, Paragraph 4, Item 1 of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc. (Act No. 85 of 1984), and accordingly, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to announce the contents of the same.

1. Background

According to the provision of Article 2, Paragraph 4, Item 1 of the NTT Act, in cases where NTT West intends to run any objective achievement work, it must in advance notify the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of matters that are provided for in the relevant Ministerial Ordinance.
Based on this provision, NTT West submitted a notification dated December 9, 2019, from NTT West concerning matters provided for in Article 1 of the Rules for Enforcement of the Act Concerning Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, Etc. (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 23 of 1985), and MIC announces the content of the notification in accordance with the provisions of Article 2-3 of the Ministerial Ordinance.

2. Date of commencement of business

The notification states that NTT West will commence this business on Monday, December 16, 2019.
