December 18, 2019 Approval to Japan Broadcasting Corporation’s Investment in JOCDN Inc.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted today an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chaired by Susumu Yoshida, Professor Emeritus, Kyoto University) on the application of Japan Broadcasting Corporation (President: UEDA Ryoichi). This application was filed under the provisions of Article 22 of the Broadcast Act (Act No. 132 of 1950). MIC received by return a report from the Radio Regulatory Council stating its approval as inquired.
Accordingly, MIC has decided today to approve the application of Japan Broadcasting Cooperation.

The outline of this matter is as follows:

Investee JOCDN, Inc. (Chairman: Koichi Suzuki)
Core business The provision of domestic video distribution platform services and construction and operation of broadcast systems
Amount invested by Japan Broadcasting Corporation 99.4 million yen
Location Iidabashi Grand Bloom, 2-10-2 Fujimi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
