December 20, 2019 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Drafted Revisions to Enforcement Regulations of Act on Electronic Signatures and Certification Business and Relevant Notice

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) made an appeal for opinions from Monday, October 28 through Tuesday, November 26, 2019, on drafted revisions to the Enforcement Regulations of the Act on Electronic Signatures and Certification Business along with a relevant notice, and received two opinions. Accordingly, the ministries are opening the submitted opinions to the public, along with their views on the opinions.

1. Background

An appeal for opinions was made from Monday, October 28 through Tuesday, November 26, 2019, on drafted revisions to the Enforcement Regulations of the Act on Electronic Signatures and Certification Business along with a relevant notice.

2. Future plan

The revised ministerial ordinance and notification will be promptly enacted.
